CREATIVITY ↔ COMPASSION ↔ CONNECTION

Born in Malta, Denise Scicluna is an art psychotherapist, integrative clinical supervisor, mindfulness practitioner, creative, and rock art author based in London
I’m an integrative and creative psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience, working across the NHS, schools, charities, and community services. I offer both talking therapy and creative therapy to adults, young people, and children – in person and online.
With a trauma-informed, psychodynamic and Jungian approach, I support clients in exploring how early experiences and unconscious patterns shape the present. I also draw on mindfulness and creative methods to encourage self-awareness, emotional healing, and self-compassion.
I offer a warm, reflective space to explore challenges such as anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, attachment difficulties, low self-esteem, life transitions, and more.
As a creative therapist and a self-taught artist, I am passionate about sharing the knowledge of how art-making and creative processes within a safe space can lead to a better understanding of life and oneself. My creative skills lie in supporting the journey of self-exploration and personal growth rather than developing a skill or master in the art.
As a qualified clinical supervisor, I clinically supervise other therapists and counsellors using a creative and integrative approach.
My private practice takes place in Central London (just by Liverpool Str Station) and online (Zoom). I also run in-person and online creative workshops and groups such as The Transitional Space and Intuitive & Expressive Painting Course.
Therapy is a valuable investment in your emotional and psychological wellbeing. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking space for growth, I offer a free 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).
I love keeping busy with side art projects and collaborations. I founded Malta's first contemporary crafts market called Patches Market.
I am an author of three arts and crafts books called Rock Art (2015), Pebble Pets (2018) and All New 20 To Make: Rock Art (2024).
I also enjoy conscious dance/movement as well as creating abstract and expressive paintings using acrylics, pastels, and collage. I have a painting practice of over 15 years and love sharing my knowledge and experience of the creative process with others.
