CREATIVITY ↔ COMPASSION ↔ CONNECTION
Born in Malta, Denise Scicluna is an art therapist, clinical supervisor, mindfulness practitioner, abstract painter, and author based in London.
As a qualified art therapist and a self-taught abstract painter, I am passionate about sharing the knowledge of how art-making and creative processes within a safe space can lead to a better understanding of life and oneself. My creative skills lie in supporting the journey of self-exploration and personal growth rather than developing a skill or master in the art.

I have a Masters' degree in Art Psychotherapy and a Bachelors' degree in Psychology. I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). As a qualified supervisor, I clinically supervise other professionals in the field too using a creative and integrative approach. My private practice takes place online and I also run in-person and online creative workshops and groups for busy working professionals.

My therapeutic approach is Jungian based and psychodynamic and it also incorporates a mindfulness framework. My therapy practice stems from the belief that everyone is innately creative and I passionately believe that art-making can be an act of self-care and a way of nurturing ourselves and getting to know ourselves.

I love keeping busy with side art projects. I am the author of two arts and crafts books called Rock Art (2015) and Pebble Pets (2018). I also founded Malta's first contemporary crafts market called Patches Market. I have a painting practice of over 15 years. I enjoy creating abstract and expressive paintings using acrylics, pastels, and collage.
