AN 8-WEEK ONLINE CREATIVE PROGRAM

The program is for you if you are a busy working professional who wants to:

• introduce creativity as a practice in your life

• learn to use creativity as a way of self-exploration & moving forward in your life

• use creativity as a way of connecting to what's important and what you need more of in your life

• transition from rigidness to a more playful and creative life

After the program you will shift from feeling: stuck or overwhelmed, restless, and disconnected from yourself and your needs to living a life that is more playful and creative.

You will feel: confident and open, creative and inspired, connected to yourself and others, in tune with your needs and values, and open to practicing creativity in your life.

The Transitional Space is open for only 6-8 people. We start in October 2024.

This program is for you if you are curious about creativity as a way of moving forward.

(even if you've never touched a paintbrush before!)

A SUPPORTIVE AND CREATIVE JOURNEY

FOR BUSY WORKING PROFESSIONALS WHO WISH TO BE FREE FROM RIGID THINKING

This is not a program that will teach you how to paint.

It won't teach you how to draw.

It won't teach complex art techniques. It does not teach you how to be an artist.

In fact, it is not for artists. It is not for you if you have a creative practice already.

This program will take you on a journey where you will transition from a place of stuckness to more openness and playfulness.

Your unique creative expression will be honored in a safe and non-judgemental online space.

You will also get to bond with like-minded people who are going through similar life experiences and the same transitional journey as you.

The Transitional Space is open for a small intimate group of participants.

IS IT FOR YOU?

This program is for you if you are a busy working professional who feels:

• stuck in life

• overwhelmed and overworked

• disconnected from who you are

If you:

• tend to be too rigid with your thinking

• are more left-brain oriented

• are currently seeking or have been seeking ways to shift this way of being.

It is for you if you have been craving more playfulness and creativity in your life but are not sure where to start!

This program can help you connect deeper with yourself, with your beliefs, your inner world, your values, and what is important to you.

By introducing creativity in your life – you are also developing playfulness and different ways of approaching your life, moving away from that stuckness, rigidness, overwhelm, that heavy feeling.

This is for you if you are a busy working professional who is looking to tap into your creativity, even if you've never touched a paintbrush before.

You don't need to have any experience in art to join but you do need to have CURIOSITY and OPENNESS to explore creativity as a way of moving forward in life.

I was amazed to see how quickly things began to change for me right after the first session. Each activity builds upon the last, and before you know it, you are integrating parts of yourself in ways that create a positive thrust in your life. Denise is a kind, warm, loving soul. She chose fantastic source material (Brene Brown, Gabor Mate, Andy Goldsworthy) and made it relevant to us. Throughout the entire program, she was there for me, in loving kindness, no matter what I needed. I felt supported and safe.

My life is now different, because I now have some new tools to handle challenges new and old.

ABOUT ME:

Hi, I am Denise!

I am an art therapist, clinical supervisor, mindfulness practitioner, abstract painter, and author based in London.

I will be guiding you through your creative journey in The Transitional Space.

As a qualified art therapist and a self-taught abstract painter, I am passionate about sharing the knowledge of how art-making and creative processes within a safe space can lead to a better understanding of life and oneself. My creative skills lie in supporting the journey of self-exploration and personal growth rather than developing a skill or master in the art.

I have a Masters' degree in Art Psychotherapy and a Bachelors' degree in Psychology. I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I also clinically supervise other therapists using a creative and integrative approach.

My art therapy private practice takes place online (Zoom) and in-person (London) and I also run creative workshops and groups for busy working professionals.

FAQS:

Are there payment plans available?

Yes, payments can be done in full, or over 2 payments over 3 months.

How do I know that it’s for me?

Check-in with yourself and observe if the above information resonates with you. If you are still unsure you can book a free 30 min Discovery Call with me and we have a chat. Book here.

Is the fee refundable?

No it is not. Once you commit to the program the full fee will need to be paid. You will be refunded the money if for whatever reason the program is postponed or cancelled.

Is it the same as therapy?

The weekly group sessions have a therapeutic element to them. They are meant to shift and create changes in your life and the way you relate to creativity.

This program however does not replace therapy. If you are interested in seeking therapy, please have a look at my services page.

I am an artist and currently have a creative practice - can I join the program?

The Transitional Space is not for artists and does not support those who have a creative or painting practice already.  If you have had a creative practice in the past and want to reconnect with it then you are welcome to join the program.

Does it take place online only? What platforms are used?

Yes, this is purely an online program. Zoom is used for online weekly sessions. This website is used to log in and access pre-session materials such as videos and resources. There is also a Telegram group where members of the program can connect and share experiences about their creative journey as well as artwork and celebrations.

What if I cannot attend the full 8 live sessions?

All live group sessions will be recorded and shared only with the group members. Ideally, all live sessions are attended. It is recommended that no more than 2 live sessions from the program are missed.
